Your Day is Begging You: "Prioritize Me!"

Your to-do list is filled to the brim. How do you decide what to do first? This short video offers helpful tips to get the right things done in the right order, and shares the 2 criteria to use when prioritizing your day ahead.

Also revealed: what a big, green, slimy, bulging-eyed frog has to do with your day.

Part 3: Your Quotidian

Imagine your list as an organic, living, breathing entity that is always changing and improving. (Option: use colored pens!) MindManager software works great for your lists (and for other project management, too).

Your Quotidian ~ Part 1 ( video )

The most important list in your 'productivity toolbox' is your Quotidian. The Quotidian is a list of your essential daily rituals.

This short video explains how your Quotidian is different from your task list!

The Quotidian can be the foundation from which you build an organized, accomplished life.

The Big 2 Productivity Skills

The two most underdeveloped productivity skills in the modern human, also happen to be the most important. When we develop these skills within ourselves, our lives can improve dramatically:

1.  Complete Capturing
2.  Complete Follow-Through

~ When we acquire and develop the habit of consistently capturing our ideas into a system-of-capturing, the odds of making the idea an actual reality increase exponentially. (This is just a fancy way of saying, "write it down when you first think of it!")  Jason Echols at Black Belt Productivity has written a good example of this scenario.

~ Metaphorically speaking, many people can write a sentence, but neglect to put a period at the end of it. When you can cultivate the ability to circle back and look at your own work, to make sure that there are no more little loose ends dangling, then you will truly be a get-it-done person who can be depended upon by others as well as your self!

Each Book Has One Idea Just For You

When reading a book, instead of expecting it to be the perfect book, expect to get one valuable idea from it. If you get more than one, that's a bonus! This short video shares 3 books that offered unexpected surprises.

Daily Good Habits: Easy as it Sounds?

An accomplished life, at its core, is simply a life filled with daily good habits.  But starting good habits is not always as easy as it sounds. In this short video, I discuss the importance of "the 3-month mark."

The Poop Board

Some people -- especially those who do not have much experience using simple productivity tools -- worry that using organizing tools will be dry, too analytical, boring, and generally take the spontaneity out of their lives. In fact, the opposite is true. In this short video, I discuss how using systems (such as a dry-erase board) can actually free up mental space, and thereby create more room for life's magical moments.

A Safe Home is a Productive Home

I have been on the lookout for an extensive, quality line of indoor paints for years.  Finally, there is one!  In this short video, I discuss Benjamin Moore and the release of their new Natura line. "Zero V.O.C.s" mean that the air is healthy and breathable in your home! No more volatile compounds gassing-off of your walls, and you have over 3,400 colors from which to choose. I'm excited about this!
